Transition Allowance:
Receive up to $1,000 after graduation to help with the first few months of housing and living costs and transportation.
Career Counseling:
Meet with our on-site career counselors to search for jobs, prepare for interviews, and plan your career next steps.
Relocation Counseling:
Speak with our counselors for tips and advice on moving to a new city for a job.

Emergency Medical Technician
Brittney Funderburg enrolled at Philadelphia Job Corps Life Science Institute to earn her national certification as an emergency medical technician (EMT). After graduating from Job Corps, she worked for two ambulance companies and was hired at Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital in Pennsylvania. Job Corps provided Brittney with the necessary training to be successful in this high-demand field.

Facilities Maintenance
Gavin felt that he was lacking a purpose for his future and made the decision to take back his life. He enrolled in Job Corps, where he trained in facilities maintenance and took on multiple center leadership roles. Job Corps helped Gavin reach his goal of enlisting in the military by giving him the necessary education and specially tailored classes to help him prepare for his entrance test. In March of 2020, Gavin swore the oath of enlistment to join the Marines, and he left for boot camp in May.

Certified Nurse Assistant
Beatrice decided to enroll in Job Corps’ certified nurse assistant (CNA) career training program. With hard work and the newfound determination she gained from her time on center, Beatrice graduated and passed the state board test for her nursing certification. She now works as a certified nursing assistant at Brightview Senior Assisted Living & Memory Care in Great Falls, Virginia, and enjoys that her job includes getting to know the residents
